  • Brad Schneider Hosts Service Academy Information Night

    When: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:30pm

    Where: Stevenson High School, Patriot Wellness Center, 1 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire

    What: Congressman Brad Schneider hosts an informational session for students, parents, guidance counselors and school officials. Representatives from each of the service academies will speak about their institution and discuss the admissions process. Congressman Schneider will also discuss the Congressional nomination process.

  • Libertyville Township Democrats September Meeting

    When: Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 7:00 to 8:30pm

    Where: Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St., Libertyville

    What: The September meeting of Libertyville Township Democrats will focus on the September 17th Donuts for Democrats event.   • Bike the Tenth 2023 in Libertyville with Congressman Brad Schneider

    When: Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 9:00am to 1:30pm. Ride time: 11:30am to 1:30pm

    Where: Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 West Buckley Road, Libertyville

    What: A 12-mile bike ride with Congressman Brad Schneider through a part of Illinois’ Tenth Congressional District. Helmets are required. Sign-in waiver for insurance purposes.   • Moraine Township Democrats Day of Action – Connection Canvassing

    When: Saturday, September 9th, 2023. Shifts begin at 10:00am and 1:00pm

    Where: Highland Park Democratic Headquarters, 474 Central Avenue (lower level), Highland Park

    What: Join Moraine Dems Precinct Committeepersons as we reach out to local Democratic-leaning voters through Connection Canvassing. Come at 10am or 1pm to pick up materials and literature, or if you’d like some quick training. If you’d prefer to pick up materials and literature before the weekend, email info@morainedems.org for other dates and times the office will be open.

    Where: Deerfield Public Library, 920 Waukegan Road, Deerfield

    What: West Deerfield Township Assessor’s Office in cooperation with State Senator Julie Morrison and State Representative Bob Morgan present a workshop on how to appeal your property tax assessment. Topics include how to file an appeal, selecting the appropriate comparable sales, determining the best method of appealing and understanding the assessment process. No pre-registration required.

  • Fremont Township Democrats September Meeting

    What: All things political will be discussed, including upcoming Connection Canvassing opportunities as well as petitions.   • Deputy Voter Registrar Training in Waukegan

    When: Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 3:00pm

    Where: Lake County Court Tower, Sheriff’s Training Room, 301 Washington St, FL 1, Waukegan

    What: Lake Dems is sponsoring volunteers to become Deputy Voter Registrars. The training session is conducted by the County Clerk’s office, and once you complete the session you will officially be able to register others to vote. Register here.

    There are certain requirements. You must be 18 years old and registered to vote in Lake County. Once you are trained to register voters in Lake County, you can register voters anywhere in Illinois. (Deputy Voter Registrars must be trained in their home county.)

    Voting is our most basic right, and helping others to exercise that right is an important contribution to our community. We hope you can help.

  • Identifying Victims of Human Trafficking – Youth and Labor Trafficking

  • Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center’s Race to Zero

    When: Sunday, September 24, 2023; Registration opens at 8:00am, Race begins at 9:00, post-race activities at 10:00

    Where: Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 Buckley Rd., Libertyville

    What: This is a 5k run or a one-mile family walk. By participating, sponsoring, and/or donating to this race you will help raise funds for the free critical services provided to survivors of sexual violence, including 24-hour support line programs. RSVP here.
