  • Antioch & Grant Township Democrats July Meeting

  • Meeting of Fremont Township Democrats

    When: Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 6:00 to 7:00pm

    Where: Lakeside Lanes Recreation Center, 900 S Lake St., Mundelein (small party room)

    What: All things political will be discussed, including upcoming Connection Canvassing opportunities. A hybrid system will be used, with some meeting in-person and everyone else Zooming in.   • “Let’s Talk Politics” During Democrats Open House at ArtWauk in Waukegan

    When: Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. (“Let’s Talk Politics begins at 5:30pm.)

    Where: Democratic Headquarters, 228A N. Genesee St., Waukegan

    What: Tenth Dems and Lake County Democrats host a “Let’s Talk Politics” at our office during Waukegan’s monthly ArtWauk art event. Snacks will be available. Admission is free and open to Democrats.

    “Let’s Talk Politics” is a moderated discussion and allows opportunities for Democrats in and around Lake County and the 10th District to talk about important issues of the day with each other and guests that often include elected officials, candidates, political analysts, and authors.

    ArtWauk is the monthly event in Waukegan that celebrates the city’s growing art community. It takes place the third Saturday evening of each month. Neighboring shops and vendors in the downtown lakefront area surrounding the historic Genesee Theatre stay open, creating a festive atmosphere. We have a great spot— the office is one-half block south of the Genesee Theater.

  • Instagram Live Raffle to Support Live4Lali

    When: Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm

    Where: Live4Lali’s Headquarters, 3255 N. Arlington Heights Road, Suite 508, Arlington Heights

    What: Announcement of prize winners for Instagram raffle fundraiser supporting Live4Lali. It is an organization whose mission is to empower individuals and communities to overcome substance use disorder and embrace a life of health and wellness.   • Shields Township Democrats Community Connection Kickoff

    What: Tenth Dems and Moraine Township Democrats host a session of Tenth Dems University’s Let’s Talk Politics. Let’s Talk Politics is a moderated discussion that provides opportunities for Democrats in and around the 10th Congressional District to talk with one another about important issues of the day. Street parking very limited. Parade participants can be dropped off at Adams Street and 10th Street. Parade ends at North Chicago High School in the 1700 block of Lewis Ave.

  • Moraine Township Dems’ Annual Summer “Party With Our Party”

  • Lake County AfroFest 23

    Where: Greenbelt Cultural Center Pavilion, 1215 Green Bay Rd., between 14th Street and 10th Street, North Chicago

    What: A multi-cultural event that gives African-Americans and other ethnic groups the opportunity to show off their talents and artistic contributions.   • Walk in the Gurnee Days Parade with Warren Dems, Lake Dems and Lake County Democratic Elected Officials

    When: Sunday, August 13, 2023. Line up by 11:30am; step off at 12:00 noon.

    Where: Parade line-up number 19, right near the northwest corner of Grandview Ave. and Blackburn St.

    What: Join Warren Dems, Lake Dems and Lake County elected officials. Entrance to the line-up entry and drop off is at Delany Road and Grandville (easiest access is from Route 41 to Delany).The parade goes from Delaney to Old Grand and ends on Emerald Ave. (near the firehouse).
