  • Lake Dems Day of Action—Help Win Over Wisconsin for Harris/Walz and Other Democrats

    When:  Saturday, August 10, 2024 (a Day of Action in both Lake County and Kenosha), from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm. Carpools will leave Lake County locations at 10:45am and return around 4:30pm.

    Where: Meeting points in Lake County to carpool to Kenosha. Then gather at the Kenosha County Democratic Party's staging/training site before heading out to canvass in the area.

    What: Win Over Wisconsin (WOW!), a Lake Dems project, in conjunction with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (WisDems), to persuade voters to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. This is also an opportunity to help Democrats hold the Senate and flip the House. Knock doors and speak with voters identified as undecided or leaning Democratic. Pre-canvassing orientation and training provided by WisDems. RSVP here.

  • Lake Dems Day of Action—Grayslake: Door-to-Door and Phone Banking for Lake County Board Candidate Mike Conway

    When: Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm

    Where: Lake County Democrats Grayslake Headquarters (Agora Coworking), 100 N. Atkinson Rd., Suite 106, Grayslake

    What: Lake Dems, Lake Villa Dems, and Indivisible Western Lake County (IWLC) will be knocking on doors in Lake Villa within Lake County Board, District 5 (Mike Conway). Campaign literature and walk lists will be provided. There will also be a phone bank at the same time.   • Lake Dems Day of Action—Grayslake: Phonebank and Postcarding for Democratic Candidates

    When: Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11:00am to 4:00pm

    Where: 10 N. Lake St., Grayslake

    What: Lake County Democratic Women is partnering with Lake County Democrats on the August 10th Day of Action! Write postcards to swing states or phone bank for Democratic candidates. We will provide postcards but are requesting everyone to bring a roll or book of postcard stamps if possible.   • Ela Township Dems at Unplugged Fest

    When: Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm
    Where: Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Rd., Lake Zurich
    What: Ela Township Dems will be at Unplugged Fest, a free festival where families can unplug from their electronic devices and enjoy fun activities and community spirit. Stop by and visit with Ela Dems, or to help out, contact elademocrats@gmail.com.
  • Walk with Warren Township Dems, Congressman Brad Schneider and other Democrats in the Gurnee Days Parade

    When: Sunday, August 11, 2024. Line up at 11:30am, step off at 12:00noon.
    Where: The parade starts off at Delaney Rd. (between Old Grand and Rt. 41) and ends on Old Grand near the fire station. Warren Dems spot is #24 with is located on Blackburn between Grandville Ave and Grandview Ave.
    What: Walk with Warren Township Democrats, Team Brad, Democratic elected officials and candidates, Lake Dems, Tenth Dems and Newport Township Democrats in the Gurnee Days parade. Afterwards, you can join Circuit Court Clerk Erin Weinstein and Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim for their annual fundraiser pool party in Gurnee for even more fun.
  • West Deerfield Township Democrats Get Out The Vote Postcard-Writing Event

    When: Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm
    Where: Potbelly’s back room, 740 Waukegan Rd., Deerfield
    What: West Deerfield Township Democrats help Get Out The Vote (GOTV) in the swing states by writing postcards. Pick from three proven effective messages to write.   • Holly and Erin’s 3rd Annual Pool Party

    Where: 6020 Washington St., Gurnee

    What: Waukegan Township Democrats has a booth at the 24th Annual Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine Arts & Music Festival. The event honors literature’s power to inspire, provoke, unite, and advocate for free speech. Attendees will hear readings from banned books and can share their thoughts or favorite passages.
  • Avon Dems Day of Action for Eric Rinehart

    What: Avon Dems and Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart hold a Day of Action supporting his reelection campaign. Volunteers will be knocking doors and additionally have indoor activities available for those interested.
