Van Slyke, Deputy Director of Civic and Community Engagement for the Chicago 2024 Host Committee will be our featured speaker on Thursday, June 13, at the Lake Dems Annual Democrats Defending Democracy Reception. In his role, he is working to recruit and deploy 12,000 volunteers at the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

[May 15th] We’re on the move in Lake County and celebrated with an Open House at our new Lake County Democrats office centrally located in Grayslake. (Lake Dems had an office in Grayslake pre-Covid.) This office is our third in Lake County, joining our Waukegan and Highland Park locations.

[March 17th issue] The Lake County Board has 19 elected members, each representing a specific geographic district. (You can find your district by address.) The Board approves the budget and all financial matters, as well as ordinances affecting all county government departments.
[April 10th issue] Congratulations to the more than 200 Lake County Democratic Precinct Committeepersons (PCs) elected in the March 19 primary. Our numbers totally eclipsed Republicans, as we elected almost 100 more committeepersons than they did.
