Now more than ever, we need to defend democracy from the right-wing extremists who are trying to destroy it. [May 15th] We’re on the move in Lake County and celebrated with an Open House at our new Lake County Democrats office centrally located in Grayslake. (Lake Dems had an office in Grayslake pre-Covid.) This office is our third in Lake County, joining our Waukegan and Highland Park locations.
[May 8th] Asian Americans often grapple with a stereotype known as “perpetual foreigner syndrome,” which falsely presumes us to be outsiders no matter how many generations our families have been in the country. That’s why Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month serves as a reminder of the contributions of Asian Americans in the woven fabric of America.
[May 1st] Congratulations to our Lake Dems leadership team unanimously elected at the Lake County Democratic Party Convention on Sunday in Bannockburn! Chair Lauren Beth Gash and the leadership team continue the momentum that’s been building over several election cycles.
