Get Ready to Vote in April 4 Local Elections
Thank you to all the candidates who put themselves forward in yesterday’s primary in the parts of Lake County that held primary elections.
Municipal elections will be held on Tuesday, April 4. Polls will be open from 6am to 7pm. Mayors, city council members, members of park district boards, library boards, and boards of education are among the offices on your ballot. Starting in early March, you will be able to access a sample ballot at the Lake County Voter Power website (Voter Power).
Early Voting at the Lake County Clerk’s office begins on March 10. Early Voting throughout Lake County begins on March 20. Lake County voters can vote at any Early Voting site in the county. A complete list of Early Voting sites and hours of operation can be found here. The Early Voting location closest to your home can be found by visiting Voter Power.
The easiest way to vote is with a Vote by Mail ballot. You can make an online request for a Vote by Mail ballot at Voter Power. The easiest way to return your Vote by Mail ballot is to place it in a secure Drop Box, available at every Early Voting site in Lake County during the hours the site is open for voting.
In addition, starting on March 10, there will be six secure Drop Boxes open 24/7 which will be locked at 7pm on April 4th, Election Day. You can find their locations here. Vote by Mail ballots also can be returned in person to the Lake County Clerk’s office or by U.S. Mail.

Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers.
Charisse Bruno has the perfect attitude for a volunteer, always looking for ways she can make a difference. At the Lake Dems Presidents Day fundraiser in Vernon Hills, her enthusiasm and ready smile drew eager buyers for our buttons and t-shirts. Before the event, we counted on Charisse to attend all the necessary planning sessions for volunteers to help ensure the fundraiser went off without a hitch. We’re lucky to have this Buffalo Grove resident on our team.
