You Don’t Want to Miss This! Jill Wine-Banks to Speak in Lake County
Back by popular demand, Jill Wine-Banks, former Watergate prosecutor and MSNBC commentator, is headlining Lake County Dems Presidents’ Day Fundraiser on February 19 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Doubletree by Hilton, 510 E. IL Route 83, Mundelein. |

This amazing and deservedly sought-after speaker packed the house last year. Be sure to get your tickets here! |
February is National Black History Month
During National Black History Month, we celebrate the legacy of Black Americans whose power to lead, overcome, and expand the meaning and practice of American democracy has helped our nation become a more fair and just society. But there is clearly more work to be done.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” Lake County Democrats recommit to promoting fairness, justice, and equality – for all.

Early Voting for the March Primary Election Begins in Lake County
Do you travel for business, work long hours, or find it hard to get to the polls on Election Day? Or do you just like to check things off your to-do list as early as you can? Starting next Thursday, February 8, you can vote in person in the March Primary Election by going to the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
Beginning March 4, additional early voting sites will be open across the county through March 16. Note that unlike on Election Day, Lake County voters can use any early voting site countywide, regardless of where they live.
Even if you’re not yet registered at your current Lake County address, or if you’ll be 18 years old by November 5, 2024, you can register and early vote at the same time.
Find early voting locations and hours here.
Lake County Democrats Chair Lauren Beth Gash Previews 2024 Election in Tribune Interview
It’s great to see our Lake County Democrats Chair Lauren Beth Gash promoting the Democratic Party, what we do, and where we differ from the GOP. Bottom line: “What the Republicans stand for more and more, does not align with voters in Lake County,” Lauren said. According to Lauren, there is so much energy from Democrats to help in 2024. There’s even quite a bit from former Republicans who’ve left the GOP. Lake County Dems are fired up and ready to go! |
