$1 Million OK’d to Restore Illinois Beach State Park
Watch for Your Mail-In Ballot
If you’ve requested a mail-in ballot for the June 28 Primary Election, you can start checking your mailbox at the end of the week. The first ballots are set to be mailed tomorrow, May 19.
To request a mail-in ballot, go to the Lake County Voter Power web page and complete the form. Once you fill in your name, house number, and date of birth, you should see a screen that has election information tailored to you. Clicking on the first green button allows you to request your mail-in ballot for the June Primary Election.

Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers, including the following:
Richard Schlake is a longtime volunteer who puts an array of talents to work in helping local Democrats. As a precinct committeeperson and treasurer of the Antioch Township Democrats, he serves in one of Lake County’s reddest areas. Richard is known for his enthusiasm and active participation in Democratic events throughout the area, including marching in Antioch’s Easter Parade in April.

Ride Lake County Paratransit Service Is Accepting Reservations.
Ride Lake County provides transportation for people 60-plus and those with disabilities to any area of Lake County for work, shopping, medical appointments, and more. Riders schedule their trips in advance and the vehicles provide curb-to-curb service.
