Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers, including the following:
CJ Schmidt has been the chair of Ela Township Democrats for nearly a year. Currently, he is leading that township’s Precinct Committeepersons and other volunteers in a “post-it” canvass to make sure Democrats know where to vote in the primary election. In addition, the post-it contains a QR code that links the voter to the candidate page on the Ela Dems website. Drawing on his 15 years of experience in hospitality sales and events, CJ has also been active in planning monthly events, social gatherings, and social media for Democrats.
In Case You Missed It
MAGA Republicans Tried To Overturn The Election
On January 6, MAGA Republicans stormed the U.S. Capitol and attacked our democracy. Donald Trump spent weeks pushing dangerous and unhinged conspiracies in a desperate attempt to cling to power. But MAGA Republicans didn’t stop there. They have not only downplayed the attacks that took place that day but continue to undermine our democracy and make it harder to vote in hopes of taking power.
MAGA Fundraising Off Lies
Jan. 6 committee ties the Trump campaign’s false claims about election fraud, and its repeated litigation of the 2020 election, to its fundraising tactics.
