Primary Election Results
Thank you to all the candidates who put themselves forward. We congratulate about 220 precinct committeepersons who have been elected. (We can’t state the exact number, because our now-Republican County Clerk Robin O’Connor has not released final write-in ballot results.)

Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers, including the following:
Reducing gun violence is a priority for Rachel Jacoby. The Vernon Hills High School graduate, a former Tenth Dems intern, organized a large March for Our Lives protest in June and was the lead organizer of the Saturday remembrance in Highland Park. Rachel was quoted in a Chicago Tribune article saying the rally was designed “to make space for the community to come together and grieve and heal following the tragedy from July Fourth.” Rachel added: “What we’re also trying to do is send a message that enough is enough and it’s time for change. We want to rally the community to demand a future free from gun violence.” Rachel has also organized a Mobilization Day Against Gun Violence for Saturday (see Upcoming Events list below).
