Petition Time! Help Democrats Get on the Ballot
With so much at stake in the upcoming 2022 elections, we need all hands on deck. We can’t get Democrats elected if we can’t get them on the ballot. But you can help.
Democrats throughout Lake County are kicking off a push for signatures on petitions so candidates can get (and stay) on the ballot. The window for circulating petitions begins tomorrow (January 13).
To help, check out Upcoming Events below for petition-signing opportunities near you.

Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers, including the following:
Steven Urizar is a precinct committeeperson from Gurnee. For a couple of years, he has managed our Lake Dems Facebook group, making sure it’s a place for Democrats to easily find interesting, relevant content for—and contributed by—group members. Steven’s work helps make spending time in the Facebook group worthwhile.
Farah Laman is a tech professional and political volunteer from Hawthorn Woods. Farah has helped us elect several Democrats since she became active in 2018. Organizing with a purpose, whether for meetings, committees, or petitions drives, Farah, simply put, helps move things forward.
