Submit Your Event to Reach More Democrats
Attention candidates and event planners: Do you know how to reach thousands of Lake County Democrats with a single form? Send your information to the Lake Dems events listings.
Keeping people informed and active is key to electing more Democrats. Lake Dems plays a role in that, and frequently other groups use our list to inform their own members.
It’s very time-consuming, but we want to get it right. In order to be included in the weekly events email, please click here. Your listing will go up on our events websites (Lake Dems and Tenth Dems) as soon as possible, and can be included in our newsletters if you can get it to us by Monday.

Lake Dems brochures, above and below, are available for Democrats knocking on doors.
Don’t Canvass Empty-Handed
It’s always good to leave something behind with voters after they sign candidate petitions. Lake Dems brochures (above) are available free for members, candidates, Precinct Committeepersons, and other Democratic door-knockers.
The trifold brochures, available in English and Spanish, explain what Lake County Democrats stands for and how we fight for our Democratic values. Email us at info@lakedems.org to request brochures, and let us know how many you need in English or Spanish.
Welcome, Congresswoman Schakowsky
On Sunday, February 13th, Lake Dems hosted a Question & Answer Meet and Greet with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Over the years, Jan has frequently joined Tenth Dems at events in Lake County, and now, with the new redistricting, her 9th District extends into southwest Lake County. Although we’ve always considered Jan one of our own, we’re thrilled that we can now officially call Jan Schakowsky a member of our Lake County Congressional delegation.
Volunteer Spotlight
Lake Dems is grateful for our many active volunteers, including the following:
An entrepreneur, Danielle Swank has been a “Jack of all Trades” volunteer extraordinaire for the Democrats. She helps with everything from filing to canvassing to organizing and managing events. She is also a computer whiz and desktop designer who produces professional-looking flyers and brochures for the local Democrats. Danielle is a fourth-generation resident of Lake County who has lived in Waukegan, Libertyville, Grayslake, and now in Highland Park and has attended the College of Lake County.
