  • Roadway Clean-Up with Grant Township Democrats

    When: Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30am
    Where: Grant Woods, Long Lake Trailhead parking lot, Rollins Rd. between Wilson Rd. and Fairfield Rd., Ingleside
    What: Help clean up Grant Township Dems’ adopted mile of Rollins Rd. Meet at the Long Lake Trailhead parking lot, on the south side of Rollins Rd., west of Fairfield and east of Wilson. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and gloves. RSVP to Randy Read at ranhandle@aol.com.

  • Lake Villa Dems Day of Action

    When: Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm
    Where: Lake Villa Library, 140 N. Munn Rd., Lindenhurst
    What: Door knocking to activate our voters to vote blue up and down the ballot. Newcomers will be partnered with an experienced canvasser. Bring appropriate clothing, a charged phone, and a water bottle. To RSVP, email lakevillatownshipdems@gmail.com.

  • Knock Doors with Lake Dems in Wisconsin for Harris-Walz

    When: Saturday, October 26, from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm
    Where: Southeast Wisconsin, in areas from Kenosha to Milwaukee, depending upon where we’re needed. We’ll gather at a Democratic Party of Wisconsin (WisDems) staging/training site before heading out to knock doors. We’ll let you know the address a few days before. If you need a ride or can drive others, let us know when you register as we’ll have designated meeting points in Highland Park and elsewhere in Lake County for those wishing to carpool.
    What: WOW is a Lake Dems project (now affiliated with Operation Swing State) to persuade Wisconsin voters to vote for Democrats. Knock doors to get out the vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and other Democrats. Pre-canvassing orientation and training provided by WisDems. Training also available from Operation Swing State.   • Election Protection Team Online Training

    When: Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00 to 5:30pm
    Where: Online. A link will be sent the day of the event.
    What: Training for the Lake Dems/Tenth Dems Election Protection Team of attorney/poll watchers. Whether or not you’re an attorney, learn how to help make sure that everyone eligible to vote in the 10th Congressional District and Lake County is allowed to vote. Open to Democrats. Attorneys can earn 1.5 hours of professional responsibility CLE.  Register online.

    What: Lake Villa Dems is knocking on doors of identified voters and making sure they are getting out to vote! There will be four shifts: 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm. There will be training on GOTV. If you have never door knocked, you will be partnered with an experienced door knocker.
