  • Knock Doors with Lake Dems in Wisconsin for Harris-Walz

    When: Saturday, October 19, from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm.
    Where: Southeast Wisconsin, in areas from Kenosha to Milwaukee, depending upon where we’re needed. We’ll gather at a Democratic Party of Wisconsin (WisDems) staging/training site before heading out to knock doors. We’ll let you know the address a few days before. If you need a ride or can drive others, let us know when you register as we’ll have designated meeting points in Lake County for those wishing to carpool.
    What: WOW! is a Lake Dems project (now affiliated with Operation Swing State) to persuade Wisconsin voters to vote for Democrats. Knock doors to get out the vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and other Democrats. Pre-canvassing orientation and training provided by WisDems. Training also available from Operation Swing State.     When: Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm
    Where: Lake Villa Library, 140 N. Munn Rd., Lindenhurst
    What: Door knocking to activate our voters to vote blue up and down the ballot. Newcomers will be partnered with an experienced canvasser. Bring appropriate clothing, a charged phone and a water bottle. To RSVP, email lakevillatownshipdems@gmail.com.

    Where: Ravinia Green Country Club, 1200 Saunders Rd., Riverwoods
    What: Celebrate Kamala’s birthday with us! Join us at our annual Shades of Blue Awards Reception, a can’t-miss event. Come to this festive birthday party and help us recognize our outstanding Democratic leaders. Individual tickets are $60 for Kamala’s 60th birthday ($100 per couple). Sponsorships available.   • Lake Dems Write Postcards in Highland Park

    When: Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm
    Where: Highland Park Democratic Headquarters – Moraine Township Dems, 474 Central Ave. (lower level), Highland Park.
    What: Lake Dems holds a postcard-writing party. The cards, addresses, and tested messages to write will be provided. Please bring some postcard stamps (if you can) and be ready to write.   • Election Protection Team Training

    When: Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 7:00 to 8:30pm
    Where: Location in north suburban Cook County to be provided to registrants closer to the date.
    What: Training for the Lake Dems/Tenth Dems Election Protection Team of attorney/poll watchers. Whether or not you’re an attorney, learn how to help make sure that everyone eligible to vote in Lake County and the 10th Congressional District is allowed to vote. Open to Democrats. (Note to attorneys: Free 1.5 hours of Professional Responsibility CLE have been approved). Register online.

  • Roadway Clean-Up with Grant Township Democrats

    When: Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30am
    Where: Grant Woods, Long Lake Trailhead parking lot, Rollins Rd. between Wilson Rd. and Fairfield Rd., Ingleside
    What: Help clean up Grant Township Dems’ adopted mile of Rollins Rd. Meet at the Long Lake Trailhead parking lot, on the south side of Rollins Rd., west of Fairfield and east of Wilson. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and gloves. RSVP to Randy Read at ranhandle@aol.com.

    When: Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10:00am to 5:00pm
    Where: Lake County Democrats Grayslake Headquarters (Agora Coworking), 100 N. Atkinson Rd., Suite 106, Grayslake
    What: Lake Villa Dems is knocking on doors of identified voters and making sure they are getting out to vote! There will be four shifts: 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm. There will be training on GOTV. If you have never door knocked, you will be partnered with an experienced door knocker.
