[April 10th issue] Congratulations to the more than 200 Lake County Democratic Precinct Committeepersons (PCs) elected in the March 19 primary. Our numbers totally eclipsed Republicans, as we elected almost 100 more committeepersons than they did.
[April 3rd issue] Do you know who your congress members and state legislators are? Do you know what they are busy doing to protect our Democratic values against right-wing attacks? Lake Dems is proud to support our elected officials and provide our readers with the information they need to stay informed, stay engaged, and stay in touch.
[March 27th issue] A hearty congratulations and thank you to our Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega. He and his staff did an amazing job of running the primary election and were able to post the election night results quickly after the polls closed.
[March 20th issue] Yesterday’s Primary Election showed that Democrats far outnumber Republicans in Lake County. Voters overwhelmingly endorsed President Joe Biden as our nominee, giving him over 94% of the vote. Many more people voted for Democrats than Republicans (60% compared to 40%), giving our candidates many more votes than their Republican counterparts. Democrats are looking strong and our hard work is paying off. There’s too much at stake to sit on the sidelines.
[March 13th issue] You don’t have to wait until election day to vote. Early voting sites are open across the county. Find your early voting site here. If you have a Vote by Mail ballot, please be sure to fill it out, sign the envelope, and mail or place it in the drop box at any early voting site.
[March 6th issue] In honor of Women’s History Month, Lake Dems celebrates women — past, present, and future — who have and will continue to lead with strength and courage to protect our Democratic values.
[Feb 28th issue] For Dems to win, we need to turn out in every election. By voting in primaries, Democratic officials know we’ll have their backs on things that Democrats care about, like preserving democracy and reproductive rights.
