Renato Mariotti frequently appears on outlets such as MSNBC, CNN, PBS, and NPR as a legal analyst and political commentator. A former federal prosecutor, Mariotti has investigated and prosecuted obstruction of justice, public corruption, gun trafficking, cybercrime, fraud, tax evasion, and other crimes. He served as POLITICO Magazine’s Legal Affairs Columnist and as host of “It’s Complicated,” an in-depth podcast that looks into complex issues in the news. A graduate of Yale Law School and the University of Chicago, Mariotti is an experienced high-stakes litigator who has advised members of Congress on multiple oversight investigations. He’s also a Democratic precinct committeeperson!
