I want to let our Lake County Democrats family know that we’ve lost a cherished member, Ed Erwin. I’ve known and worked with Ed for decades and can tell you he was an amazing guy. He cared deeply about electing Democrats, and served as the longtime Chair of the Lake Villa Township Democrats. Many candidates and elected officials were grateful to have his help and sunny optimism. Ed was willing to put himself forward as a candidate when we needed one, and helped to make it just a little bit easier to win elections down the road and to build the party Ed loved so much. He was one of the early party builders who contributed to turning Lake County from deep red to purple to mostly blue.I served with Ed’s sister Judy in the state legislature, and send my love and sympathy to Ed’s family at this difficult time. I’m so thankful I was lucky enough to know him.
The memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 3 PM until 7 PM.
