Wednesday, 10/27: Deputy Voter Registrar Training in Waukegan.Free training through the County Clerk’s office. Sign-ups taken up to 24 hours before class starts. Space is limited due to COVID-related restrictions. 3-5pm, Lake County Court Tower – Sheriff’s Training Room, 301 Washington St., FL 1, Waukegan.

Friday, 10/29: We ACT Panel: Conversation with Lake County Legislators Who Advocate for Change and Transformation. The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office and A Safe Place/Lake County Crisis Center host a panel with State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart, Congressman Brad Schneider, State Senator Melinda Bush, and State Representative Joyce Mason. Attendees will learn about new domestic violence legislation. Event is at noon on Facebook and Zoom.

Friday, 10/29: Lake Dems MiniVAN Training for Fall Connection Canvassing.Help us with our Fall Connection Canvassing. Learn or refresh your skills with the MiniVAN app, a phone app to keep track of information while canvassing. Attendees welcome even if not canvassing. 1-1:45pm on Zoom. There will be another Zoom instruction call from 3:30-4:15pm on Nov. 1.

Saturday, 10/30: John Joanem for Judge – Afternoon Luncheon Tea Campaign Kickoff. Campaign kickoff for John Joanem, candidate for judge, Lake County Circuit. Onan’s Gold Pyramid House, 37921 N. Dilleys Rd., Wadsworth, 1-3pm.

Wednesday, 11/3: Campaign Kickoff Reception for Illinois Supreme Court Candidate Rene Cruz.Rene Cruz is a candidate for the Illinois Supreme Court, 2nd District. Gil Law Group Building, 605 N. Broadway Ave., Aurora, 6-8pm.

Wednesday, 11/3: Virtual Event in Support of Congressman Schneider. Steve Sheffey and Dana Gordon host Rep. Brad Schneider and special guest David Makovsky, noted Middle East/Israel analyst, for an interesting discussion on Zoom. 6:30-7:15pm.

Saturday, 11/6: Cuba Dems Road Clean-up in Lake Barrington. Volunteers are needed to pick up garbage on a section of the highway in Lake Barrington, 9-10am.

Sunday, 11/7: Countdown Rally & Canvass. U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider, State Rep. Bob Morgan, and State Sen. Julie Morrison invite YOU to knock on doors in your neighborhood to let your neighbors know how Democrats have been fighting for their communities and gauge what’s on voters’ minds going into the next election. The group will meet at Il Forno for pizza and remarks, then go out and canvass. Il Forno Pizza, 750 Osterman Ave., Deerfield. Noon-4pm.

Sunday, 11/7: Green Corridor Coalition’s Open Space Celebration. Community-led fall festival to celebrate our region’s open space, legendary natural areas, and lush forest preserves. Heron Creek Forest Preserve – Shelter B. 22890 N. Old McHenry Road in Lake Zurich. Noon-4pm.

Sunday, 11/7: Join Joyce Mason for Chicago Blackhawks Hockey.Enjoy the Blackhawks-Nashville Predators game in a suite. United Center, 901 W. Madison St., Chicago. 6pm, doors open at 5pm. Tickets limited.
