What: An online financial literacy class, “You Can Bank On It (Banking Basics),” with Illinois State Comptroller Susana A. Mendoza and Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim, along with Wintrust Community Banks. The session will cover banking services and is designed to help participants build a positive relationship with a financial institution. It will describe the basic steps for opening and managing checking and savings accounts and how to avoid predatory lenders.
