    What: The Lake Villa Dems will be holding their monthly meeting.   • Town Hall Meeting on Developing a Community Response to Gun Violence

    When: Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 6:00pm

    Where: Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 N. Green Bay Road, North Chicago

    What: The office of Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart sponsors a town hall meeting with law enforcement and community leaders. They will discuss county-wide and community-based solutions to the short-term and long-term increase in gun violence in Lake County.

    Where: Buffalo Grove Park District Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove

    What: State Senators Julie Morrison and Adriane Johnson, and State Representatives Daniel Didech and Jonathan Carroll hold a conversation that will include a Springfield update, discussion of community concerns and issues that affect our state.

    Where: Line up at spot #18 on Blackburn Street just off Grandview in Gurnee.

  • American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Community Input Night

    What: Lake County will host a live event in open house format where residents can share their input on how a portion of the ARPA funding could best benefit our communities in the recovery and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Where: Genesee Theater, 203 N. Genesee Street, Waukegan

    What: Heart of the City’s fifth anniversary and inaugural gala. The organization uses soccer as a way to teach youth essential life skills, train them as leaders and mentors, and connect them with postsecondary opportunities. Register here.
