  • Tenth Dems, Lake Dems Zoom Presentation: “How To Be A Pollwatcher.”

    What: Those who attend this training will learn about voting rights in Illinois and how to help our Democratic candidates as a member of the Tenth Dems/Lake Dems Election Protection team by making sure voters can exercise those rights. Our in-depth, practical training for attorneys and other pollwatchers is open to Democrats. We offer 1.5 hours of FREE CLE (Continuing Legal Education) to attorneys.

    Where: 1200 University Center Drive, Grayslake

    What: An Open House where students can learn about enrollment requirements, resources, financial aid and scholarship opportunities for all 12 colleges at the University Center. They can speak with representatives to find out the path that best fits their needs. Register here.

  • Day of Action in Fremont

    When: Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00pm

    Where: Lake Dems, Holly Kim, and Dan Didech campaign office, 105 N. Seymour Ave., Mundelein

    What: Fremont Dems reach out to Democratic voters in surrounding areas to help Get Out The Vote. They will stuff literature into door-hanging bags and then do literature drops at Democratic doors. Copies of the new Lake County Voter Guide will be distributed.   • Go North to Help Mandela Barnes and Gov. Tony Evers Win in Wisconsin

    When: Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00pm

    Where: Meet up at a location to be announced in either Kenosha or Racine, or connect with carpools at locations in Northern Illinois TBA

    What: Join a group going to Wisconsin. Following a brief training, we’ll knock doors for Democratic candidate for Senate Mandela Barnes and Democratic Governor Tony Evers. Helping Mandela Barnes defeat Ron Johnson could mean the difference between losing the Senate or increasing our Democratic majority. Re-electing Governor Evers would keep in place a critical check against the Republican-controlled Wisconsin legislature. Sign up here.

  • New Lake Dems Headquarters Open House During ArtWauk in Waukegan

    When: Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00pm

    Where: Lake County Democrats Waukegan Headquarters, 228A N. Genesee St., Waukegan

    What: An Open House hosted by Lake Dems at the new Lake County Democratic Headquarters during Waukegan’s monthly ArtWauk event. Refreshments will be served. Open to Democrats.

    ArtWauk is a festive monthly event (the third Saturday of the month) in downtown Waukegan. Galleries and other venues in the Arts & Entertainment District are open to passersby and celebrate the city’s growing art community. We have a great spot— our new office is just across the street from the Genesee Theater.

    Volunteers are needed to help set up, staff our office, and greet visitors. We also appreciate any office supplies you can donate to use in our new office, especially chairs and a shredder. Questions? Email info@lakedems.org.
