  • Your Spending and Savings Fitness Plan with Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim

    What: This session will help you put together information about your income and expenses to develop a solid spending and savings plan that works for you. You’ll learn how to increase income, decrease expenses, and prioritize spending when there might not be enough money to pay bills in full on time.

  • Juneteenth African Drum Circle Event

  • Walk With Democrats in the Libertyville Days Parade

    When: Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00am. Gather at 9:30am, step off at 10:00am

    Where: Libertyville Metra Station lot, 200 W. Lake Street at Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

    What: Walk with Democrats and local candidates in the Libertyville Days Parade. We will walk south on Milwaukee Avenue to Rockland Road.

  • Juneteenth Journey in Waukegan

    When: Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:00am to 4:00pm

    Where: Pick-up and drop-off location: Haines House Museum at Bowen Park, 1917 North Sheridan Road, Waukegan

    What: A celebration of Juneteenth with a guided bus tour of historic African American sites throughout Lake County, Illinois. Tour lasts approximately two hours. Journey includes a tour of the African American Museum at the England Manor. Register here.

  • Deputy Voter Registrar Training in Libertyville

    When:  Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 10:00am

    Where: Lake County Central Permit Facility, 2nd Floor Conf. Room, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville

    What:  Lake Dems is sponsoring volunteers to become Deputy Voter Registrars. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and registered to vote in Lake County. The event is open only to Lake County residents who are interested in helping to register new voters. Deputy Registrars must be trained in the county in which they live, but once trained, can register voters anywhere in Illinois. Training takes about an hour. This training is being held through the County Clerk’s office and is free of charge. Sign-ups will be taken up to 24 hours before the class starts.
